We are over halfway thru our final pop up shop in the Red Hook location. For the past 2 years, every month there has been a different pop up in the back room. I have loved doing this, and I'm pretty sure the customers have loved it too!
I am going to try to continue the pop ups, although they will be different. Probably more of a weekend thing, or after hours party. In any case, I will still try to highlight small independent (women run, when possible) companies in some way or another.
But for now, Allegra & Luca and NinaZ clogs are still in the shop, and everything is so lovely!
Allegra works with a small women's collective in Mexico, to produce colorful embroidered dresses and tops for women and children. They are truly my favorite dresses to wear. All fair trade and celebrate the talents of the Mexican women.
And Nina now has her own lovely store up in Hudson, but we still love having her beautiful clogs in the shop. The classic wooden bases are made in Sweden, and the leather uppers are put on right here in the Hudson Valley by Nina's husband Tshidi. The sweetest pair.
So while the pop up shop items are not online to buy, you can always call the shop or shoot me an email and I would be happy to ship. And for those of you local customers, you have a week and a half to hurry on in!
